Brainstorming Disscussion

For today blog, it is my second class for inventive problem solving with our lecturer which is madam Lydia. Today our task is to disscuss what is brainstorming with it's advantages and disadvantages. What is brainstorming? Brainstorming is actually a Process for generating creative ideas and solutions through intensive and freewheeling group discussion. Everyparticipant is encouraged to think aloud and suggest as many ideas as possible, no matter seemingly how outlandish or bizarre. Analysis, discussion, or criticism of the aired ideas is allowed only when the brainstorming session is over and evaluation session begins. So, what is the advantages and disadvantages of brainstorming? The adavantage of brainstorming is that it can encourages out - of - the - box thinking. It also can help us who participate the brainstorming to Brainstorming gives vision and perspective where these elements may not have existed before. It encourages free speech and creativity, helping to reveal new ideas and solutions. Beside that Brainstorming helps to avoid conflict and to give everybody a chance to air their views without immediate evaluation or judgment. In a brainstorming session, everybody should have an equal opportunity to participate in the discussion. The disadvantage of brainstorming is The brainstorming process can take time. It could be hours, or even days before a solution is reached. Sometimes the ideas suggested are unworkable. Sometimes it's also Sometimes the ideas suggested are unworkable. In conclusion, to me the brainstorming is quite useful for us because we can exchange a new idea.
